We’ve befriended local gentlemen that keep us laughing anytime we sit down and spend time with them. One of them is in his early seventies, and his friend is in his late sixties. They’ve known each other since they were teens, and they know what buttons to push to set each other off.
Listening to them talk is like watching an old married couple. Neither of them has much patience for the other, and know that regardless of how much they piss each other off, they’ll speak again, eventually.
I’ve joked with them that they should set up a YouTube channel and stream their conversations on a regular basis. Personally, I think it would be a hit! The only think is that it would have to be rated R for the language they use. 😉
We love spending time with them, not just for the laughter, but for the history of Treasure Beach they know and share. It’s interesting to hear how much has changed for them in the last 50 years, especially since they’d both immigrated to other countries for a time, and are now back to stay.
It’s interesting to see that we’re not alone in giving up the conveniences of another country to enjoy the beauty of Jamaica regardless of all of it’s frustrations.
If I manage to convince the gentlemen to start a YouTube Channel, I will let you know and keep you posted on it’s launch! 😉🩵
