I worked out for the first time this year. Unfortunately, a nasty flu had me out of commission right after Christmas. After weeks of coughing constantly, things have finally calmed down, and I’m feeling like myself again.
We went to Treasure Buds & Records and cleaned up for the work scheduled this week to complete the repairs. There was sand everywhere! Thankfully, we have a portable air compressor to blow the sand out of the outlets and the window sills.
If you’ve been to the shop before the storm, you’ll notice a slight difference when you come in. The shop now feels like one of those rooms created to mess with you because the floors aren’t even. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, eventually. 😉
Since I was under the weather at the start of the new year, I didn’t have the mental bandwidth to consider resolutions or goals. I didn’t even get my Leonie Dawson workbooks this year! 😲
I’ve already started my major project for the year: my book. I’m looking forward to reopening the shop, interacting with the regulars, and meeting new people. After an eventful 2025, I’m looking forward to a calm, uneventful 2026. 🙏🏽
That doesn’t mean I’m not working on my goals or setting new ones for myself; it just means I’m focusing my energy on goals I can achieve quietly, with little fanfare.
Now that we have solar power and satellite internet, I’m looking forward to getting things done with fewer interruptions. 🩵
