We’ve been spending time with people and having fascinating and insightful conversations in the past week. We’ve met quite a few people on this trip and reunited with some old friends, and it’s been a really positive experience. There’s been no drama, no arguments, just lots of laughter and positive energy.
It’s pretty cool when you encounter strangers and connect with them quickly as if you were long-lost friends that are reconnecting. We haven’t always been blessed to meet positive, friendly people, and I believe that our streak of good luck has something to do with our mindset while we’ve been here. We’re planning to build a home in this community, and we’re approaching people with a sincere interest in curiosity about their own experiences and what we can expect.
We’ve been meeting people from different countries here for various reasons. Some are here on vacation, others for a school project and others for business. Regardless of the purpose of their trip, we met them and have had conversations with them. We even have a date to meet up with a couple we met to come back here in December. They’ve already booked their flight and hotel room!
You never know who you’ll meet or how they’ll impact your life. They say that people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime, and I’m constantly intrigued by the individuals I encounter and how even a brief meeting can have a significant impact. Maybe it’s the sun or the warm weather that makes people more friendly and open to meeting others?
Up until now, I’ve never relocated to another country to live. We’re currently contemplating making somewhere else our home, and I’m open to it. While it may mean it’s more challenging to see friends and family back home, I know that I’ll make friends here, and the family abroad can always visit, and so can I ?
I’m excited for this next phase of our lives. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, making meaningful connections, and continuing to grow mentally and emotionally. Based on the last almost four months we’ve spent out here, I think that it’ll be a smooth transition, and I can’t wait to share our new adventures with you! ❤️
