Put an end to your heartbreak!

April 23, 2014 Sandra Dawes

If you’ve ever been in love, then you know how heartbreaking it is when the one you love doesn’t love you back.  You would do hamster_heartbreakanything to get them to notice you, recognize how much you love them and how good you would be to them.  Regardless of your efforts, however, they don’t even seem to notice you’re alive!

I feel like this is how a lot of us are treating our passions.  The things that motivate and inspire us are patiently waiting for us to make time for them.  They know how good life would be if we just connect with them, become one with them and embrace them no matter what anyone else has to say about it.

Unfortunately, for many of us, our passions are not something that others will ever truly understand.  We can be fooled into thinking that the things that we are passionate about make us crazy, not unique.  We don’t realize that our passions are gifts from God, there to give our life meaning.  Instead, we are often left to think that our passions have to be regulated to a hobby or a dream never to be realized.

I’ve recently come to the understanding that not being able to live your passion is the greatest heartbreak of them all.  The inability to live our life with passion is like unrequited love.  We want to love and honour it with all our heart, but we never seem to get the chance to.  The reality is that many of us are afraid to.  We don’t know if our passions can sustain us.  Can our passions pay the bills and put food in the fridge?

Just like romantic relationships, our life’s passion doesn’t always make logical sense.  We can’t explain it, but we continue to be drawn to it, be called by it, even though it would be much easier to maintain the status quo.  There’s a reason you’re feeling the pull.  There’s an explanation as to why the continuing to live the way you always have is no longer satisfying.  You are being called to step into your greatness and live the life you were put here to live!

Following your life’s passion is just as challenging as sustaining a healthy relationship.  There are going to be challenges and obstacles along the way.  These are just life’s lessons, to show you all that you’re capable of and just how strong you really are.  Your commitment and ability to persist will be tested.  Regardless of how difficult it may seem at times, just remember that it will be worth it! ♥
